IV LOCUS Seminar: Sharing Cultural Heritage on digital platforms

On June 27th, 2022 it will take place the 4th Annual LOCUS Seminar, entitled IV LOCUS Seminar: Sharing Cultural Heritage on digital platforms.

This academic event aims to reflect on digital platforms, particularly metaverse environments, to promote and disseminate Cultural Heritage.

The Seminar is organized into three main talks. It will start with the keynote Renato P. dos Santos, who will share his experiences using Second Life for educational purposes. Then Liliana Gonçalves will present the latest results of the narrative to explore the virtual village of Amiais in Second Life. Later, Lídia Oliveira, the Principal Researcher of the LOCUS Project, will anticipate the final project book, “Real and Virtual Convergences: the LOCUS project – Playful Connected Rural Territories”. To end the Seminar, the researcher Ana Carla Amaro and the developer Luís Sequeira will guide the participants through the virtual Amiais to the Eira place to a virtual party.

The target audience of the event is the academic community, as well as specialists who are interested in the topics that will be discussed and can intervene to contribute to the enrichment of the event and, consequently, the project.

The registration is already open. The event will take place online, via Zoom, between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm, under the scientific organization and moderation of Professor Lídia Oliveira and Professor Ana Carla Amaro.
